How it works
Schedule a phone consultation
Schedule a free 15 minute phone call where we will answer your questions, address any concerns you may have, and if a speech evaluation is needed we will schedule that at a time that is convenient for you.
In Person Evaluation (if needed)
We will do a comprehensive speech and language evaluation to determine if speech therapy is truly needed. This evaluation is done in person and in an ideal and natural environment to truly test your child’s development.
In person therapy begins
Our board certified therapists will come to you. Therapy happens in home, at daycare, or in the community. We feel that when learning happens in a natural setting carryover of skills into every day life is much easier. All sessions are one on one, and are typically 1 hour.
What does a therapy session look like?
Your therapist will prepare your child’s session in advance so that no time is wasted. Each session will be tied to your child’s plan of care, which will be created by our therapy director after your initial evaluation. (If you have a current speech evaluation we can use that one).
Sessions are 60 minutes, giving your child enough time to focus on their current goals. We think that 60 minutes creates enough time to get back on track if a bathroom or snack break is needed. Often in the clinic setting sessions are 30 minutes, and we feel this is not enough time to get settled in an focus on learning.
After your child’s therapy session, we will send you notes about what was worked on, a weekly win and give you some exercises to work on between sessions.
