What does a therapy session look like?
Do you come to us?
Yes. We are a mobile practice, meaning therapy happens wherever is most convenient and best suited for your child.
Is therapy part of a larger strategy?
Your therapist will prepare your child’s session in advance so that no time is wasted. Each session will be tied to your child’s plan of care, which will be created by our therapy director after your initial evaluation. (If you have a current speech evaluation we can use that one).
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 60 minutes, giving your child enough time to focus on their current goals. We think that 60 minutes creates enough time to get back on track if a bathroom or snack break is needed. Often in the clinic setting sessions are 30 minutes, and we feel this is not enough time to get settled in and focus on learning.
“Are you just playing with my child?”
We get asked this question frequently, and the answer is Yes! (and no). Our staff are trained in a child-led, play based approach focusing on what most motivates your child to participate in and enjoy each session. We 100% stand behind this form of speech therapy and have the results to back it up.
Does therapy end after the session is over?
After your child’s therapy session, we will send you notes about what was worked on, a weekly win and give you some exercises to work on between sessions.

We can also help you with out of network claims to your insurance provider. -
There are no long term contracts for therapy, however our therapy director will create a plan of care for your child that best suits their continued progress.
We do have attendance standards that allow us to focus on families that are committed to success. -

With cash pay, there is no need to report diagnosis to insurance providers. Your privacy and confidence is extremely important to us, and unless otherwise desired your child’s diagnosis will remain confidential.
You will receive a full evaluation report as well as weekly notes for each session.
Unless otherwise requested, documentation will be shared only with you. -
We are committed to creating the most successful environment for your child and family. Part of this is having a consistent therapist as well as well documented session and progress notes.
While we do occasionally move our therapists routes in order to best serve our families, your child will consistently have the same therapist month after month. -
Therapy occurs wherever your child is best suited to learn. We can come to your home, a daycare, a school, or any other public setting (Where we are permitted).
Many of our families choose in home therapy, but we are open to meeting where it is most convenient for you and your child. -
Typically sessions are 1 hour, as we feel this duration gives us enough time to focus on your child’s progress, and allow for breaks during the sessions.
Sometimes due to medical necessity sessions will be less than 1 hour.
How it works
Schedule a phone consultation
Schedule a free 15 minute phone call where we will answer your questions, address any concerns you may have, and if a speech evaluation is needed we will schedule that at a time that is convenient for you.
In Person Evaluation (if needed)
We will do a comprehensive speech and language evaluation to determine if speech therapy is truly needed. This evaluation is done in person and in an ideal and natural environment to truly test your child’s development.
In person therapy begins
Our board certified therapists will come to you. Therapy happens in home, at daycare, or in the community. We feel that when learning happens in a natural setting carryover of skills into every day life is much easier. All sessions are one on one, and are typically 1 hour.
